Each year the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund hosts a 5-day retreat for families affected with F.A.
The children are busy playing with other F.A. children and their siblings. They get to go canoeing,
swimming, putt-putting, shuffleboarding, rock wall climbing, and numerous craft activities.
The parents have the opportunity to learn the latest discoveries and devolopments in the treatment
of Fanconi Anemia. Many doctors, from across the country and all over the world, attend the workshop. This support
group has allowed us to talk with families who have already been through transplants, preparing us with what to expect.
This annual meeting seems to be a "reunion" for many families.
